Practitioners utilizing a variety of care strategies join together as Members of the American Association of Integrative Medicine in order to increase professional accountability, share treatment resources, provide a professional and scientific community of practitioners and scholars. The benefits of membership in the American Association of Integrative Medicine are myriad. Members have unique access to professional resources regarding alternative medicine. Practitioners looking to augment their practice are encouraged by AAIM to receive advanced training in acupuncture, natural therapies, homeopathy, and pastoral counseling among many other healing modalities. Additionally, members have the added benefit of being listed with the National Referral Service, thereby ensuring greater availability for patients and clients. The American Association of Integrative Medicine has risen out of a need for health care providers to gain greater awareness around alternative/complementary treatment philosophies and interdisciplinary collaboration. Patients and clients are increasingly seeking out alternative medical treatments to meet their physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. Health care providers looking to foster a more inclusive approach to health and wellness will find a supportive network with the AAIM. Practitioners sensitive to this growing need can find a supportive network in the American Association of Integrative Medicine. Opportunities for Continuing Education are ongoing as members gather from around the globe to address many issues regarding the intersection between traditional, alternative, and complementary medicine. Training centers are also eligible to receive accreditation from the American Association of Integrative Medicine. Students or professionals interested in gaining proficiency in the delivery of holistic, integrative care can find suitable training programs listed on the AAIM website. The AAIM provides support for pioneering care providers from a diverse body of healing disciplines. How may the AAIM be helpful to you?
